Galations 2:20-21

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly." Galations 2:20-21

Time for a Break

Life seems to never stop. Saturday we spent the day going over finances (isn't it funny how you can do everything right and still get screwed in life?) and then helped get everything ready for my sister and brother-to-be's bridal shower. Sunday we got over to help with the party several hours early and stayed for clean up as well. The shower was beautiful, although after everyone left it felt like we were still just putting up the streamers. What a whirlwind. I did have to sneak away for a nap. This third trimester is really "weighing" on me.

All the Bridesmaids

Good thing is that we are getting ready to leave for vacation early tomorrow morning. (We are traveling to Denver, CO for my husband's close college friend's wedding. He's in the wedding.) I'm really looking forward to this break from life and all the wedding festivities...and spending time in the hotel pools. I love just floating in the water to take all this weight off of my body. All I have on my agenda today is to pack! Then the craziness begins again when we return. Monday night childbirth class, Thursday 30week ultrasound, Friday church young adult meet n' greet, Saturday family party, Sunday church hosted baby shower for us. Oh goodness....things need to slow down before this baby arrives!

But for now...Colorado, here we come...

I've been busy sewing and adding new products to my Etsy shop. Today, I discovered that my shop has been featured on this blog. How sweet is that? Check out Andrew's blog and browse around his Etsy shop. If you like to garden you'll be sure to find something you like.

Here is what I've been up to...

Two new collections of Reusable Gift Bags and a set of Reusable cloth baby wipes/washcloths. Made from cotton flannel pirate ship print and terrycloth on the other side.

Reusable Gift Bags

I just made my first sale on my Etsy shop over the weekend. I'm super excited! It was a collection of my reusable gift bags. The item sold after only 3 hours of me posting it. After getting that all ready to be shipped out I made a new collection of my bags and posted it this morning. We'll see how things go, but I thought it was a pretty successful first week considering the little amount of advertising I've done so far.

Cocoa Tree Creations

Wow, it's been a while since my last post. I've been busy sewing. I just opened up my own shop on Etsy, Cocoa Tree Creations. Etsy is a place to buy and sell things handmade. I sell my handmade fabric headbands and reusable gift bags-for now. I only have a few items at the moment, but am posting new items regularly. Click here to view my shop and please tell your friends!

26Weeks

I FINALLY got a belly picture. I'm feeling like such a cow these days.

B and I did some baby registering over the weekend. I was really excited to be able to park in the expectant mothers space!

Baby

It seems like after those long sick days during my first trimester ended, these past months have been flying by! I'm already into my 7th month of the pregnancy-26 weeks! I just had and appointment with my midwife last week. I had to take my gestational diabetes test (the orange stuff I had to drink wasn't all that bad). My midwife called me on Friday and told me my glucose looks good. Yay! She did say that my hemoglobin was low and I'm border line anemic and I need to go on an iron supplement. That's probably why I've been so exhausted lately. I am weighing in at 140lbs. Right on track. That's 20lbs more than my body is used to carrying around, so it's getting harder and harder to do everyday things as efficiently as I used to. Baby's heartbeat is strong and he/she moves around often. Our Bradley class is going well. I really feel like the more I learn, the more my fear of the whole birth thing is going away. I really like how this whole pregnancy is bringing my husband and I even closer than we already are. It's such a fun time! I'm feeling sooooo heavy these days. There is really no doubt that I look pregnant. I have to post a belly shot soon! We went to my Aunt's for the 4th of July and went swimming in their pool after the rain had stopped. B pulled me around as I held on to a floating device. It felt soooo good to have all that weight lifted off of me. I hope to spend more time in the water this summer!
